My lawn is in a bad state. Is it worth calling you?
Few lawns are beyond help. You will be surprised at what our treatments and
services can do for you.
When is it best to start with lawns treatments?
Work to improve your lawn can start at any time of the year so it doesn’t matter
when you seek our help. Some of the most productive treatments can be
undertaken out of the growing season.
I already have a gardener or garden maintenance contractor so why do I need your
service?
Our service is designed to complement your work in the garden. Whether you do
it yourself or employ a gardener we simply offer additional help and expertise
specifically for your lawn.
Is it safe for children and pets?
Yes providing young children and pets are kept off the lawn immediately
following application of liquid treatments. Once dry it is perfectly safe to enjoy
the lawn in the usual way - this should take no more than 1 hour. To be safe we
recommend that smaller pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs be kept off the lawn
for 4/5 days.
Allowing us to treat your lawn also means that you do not have to keep fertilisers
and undiluted chemicals in store where small children can get their hands on
them.
Don't you need a license to apply pesticides?
Yes and we have all the appropriate NPTC certificates for the safe application of
any pesticides used on your lawn.
Why do I need a lawn survey?
Before giving any advice or making recommendations on treatments for your
lawn we will carry out a survey. This will include checking levels of surface
thatch and soil compaction, identification of moss levels and weed types present. We
also check for common pests and diseases.
We won’t blind you with science but armed with a few simple facts from the
survey we can then sensibly discuss a programme for you and provide a
quotation.
How much is this going to cost?
It really depends on the size of your lawn but to give you an idea our standard
annual programme consisting of four visits based on a 100 square metre lawn will cost
as little as £17 per visit inclusive of labour, materials and VAT . That's under £6 per month
for the standard annual programme!
How can I help you?
If you want to work with us to create a fine lawn then here are a few simple steps:
Cut your grass regularly but never too short as this will help the grass to retain
moisture and keep it healthier for longer especially in dry spells.
Never cut the grass too short at any time of the year.
Do not cut the grass 3 days before or 3 days after our scheduled visits to help
our applications work more effectively.
